 Team Information

Race number 2014:  The cars must keep the race number given last year. This race number is allocated for the complete year.
Important: For any new Team intending to come in France for one or several races, a race number can be allocated by e-mail.
Concerning allocated race numbers, for an existing race number, if you change of category, could you inform me about this, your race number must probably be changed.
For this purpose, send me an e-mail with some information concerning your car (Mark, group, engine, cylinder capacity). My e-mail address is   seb.verron@aliceadsl.fr.

French Technical rules: Main changes for 2014
New articles 284, 284B and 285 can be downloaded on the website.


Race number 2014:  The cars must keep the race number allocated last year.

 Groups and classes 2014

1.1 . GROUP T1
Group T1 includes:
a) Group T1A car :
o Prototype cars with tubular frame chassis,  2 or 4 wheels drive, equipped at the choice:
- Petrol Engine 
- Diesel engine

b) Group T1B car :
o Prototype cars with tubular frame chassis, 2 wheels drive,  less than 2000cm3 (Coefficient for supercharged engines included) equipped at the choice:
- Petrol Engine
- Diesel engine

c) FIA Group T1 cars
o Cars having a  technical passport stamped  by the FIA, and in conformity with the FIA  regulations.
d) Group T1 RR cars
o Cars complying with FIA regulations (2005 and following) not having a technical passport stamped by the FIA.
o No new FIA passport will be given  for a car does not comply with the FIA  technical regulations in force.

1.2 . GROUP T2
Group T2 includes:
a) Groups T2 and T2F cars:
o T2 : Cross country cars series homologated  in group T2 FIA
o T2F : Cross country cars series whose the  homologation FIA T2 is lapsed and appearing on a list drawn up by FFSA.
Document must be presented by the competitor in any case: Homologation form of the car.
b) Production T2F :
- Cars with 4 wheels drive,  petrol or diesel engines produced , marketed and normally registered , no homologated in group  T2 and T2F , described in the « Swiss car review » on the Cross Country chapter , +  SUV cars 4 wheels drive  produced , marketed and normally registered , no homologated in group  T2 and T2F . These cars must appear on a list drawn up by FFSA.
Documents must be presented by the competitor: Commercial Catalogue with pictures. Descriptive data sheet or repair Manual (RTA). Registration certificate.
Modification and preparation: The preparation is identical at groupT2.

 1.3 GROUP T2B :
- Prototypes cars with no tubular frame chassis coming from the series,  respecting the bodywork and the structure of original car , excepted   items listed in the article 284B.3 .

1.4 GROUP T2B +
- Prototype cars with no tubular frame chassis coming from the series, no admitted in group T2B (see article  284B.11 )

1 .5 GROUP T3 LIGHT VEHICLE
- Cars complying with FIA regulations Group T3 .

Vehicles group T4 (Cross country trucks ) are not allowed in FFSA events ( unless waivers )

New text for spare wheels

. For all groups, the spare wheel is not mandatory except in Rally. However, if the car is equipped, a maximum of 2 spare wheels per car is authorized.
Rally: at any time during the event, the number of spare wheels inside the car must be 1 or 2, for all groups
The spare wheels must be identical with the wheels fitted on the car.

Exception: For group T1A and T1B cars, the external diameter of the complete wheel (flange, rim + tyre) must be identical with the wheels fitted on the car. (Tolerance: + / - 1''). The width of the assembling tyre/ rim is free, the used tyre must be with crampons and for use of motor racing.
 
TANK LOCATION FOR T1A AND T1B

For any new construction from 1 July 2014 and only for cars competing in open road events (rally), the fuel tank must be located behind the front seats.

BODYWORK INTERIOR FOR T1A AND T1B

For any passport established from 1st January 2014, the minimum vertical height protected is 90 cm from the bottom of the flattened seat  and a line joining (outside) the two main rollbars or inside the roof
 
ENGINES

5.2 Normally aspirated engines (petrol or diesel) greater than 3600cm3
Maximum internal diameter of the air restrictor:
WITH 2 VALVES PER CYLINDER  42MM
MORE THAN 2 VALVES PER CYLINDER 40MM

a) Petrol or diesel engines with corrected cylinder capacity of less than 3600cm3.
Maximum internal diameter of the air restrictor
ENGINES WITH ONE COMPRESSOR 45MM
ENGINES WITH 2 COMPRESSORS FITTED IN SERIES  35MM

b) Petrol engines with corrected cylinder capacity greather than 3600cm3
Maximum internal diameter of the air restrictor
2 VALVES PER CYLINDER  38MM
MORE THAN 2 VALVES PER CYLINDER 35MM
 
EXHAUST
catalytic homologated by ASN technical list N°8 or FIA technical list N°9 is recommended for any new construction from 1st January 2014
